The Brief

More than an internal presentation.

Trailmix Games — the mobile game studio behind titles like Love & Pies — wanted more than slides when introducing a new set of company values. They wanted something interactive. Something social. Something their teams would actually remember.

Working with ReadySet, Trailmix transformed their company values into a branded multiplayer experience spanning both London and Berlin — combining real-world exploration, collaborative gameplay, and company culture into one shared event.

The rollout stopped feeling like a meeting and started feeling like a launch day — one with checkpoints, characters, and a story their teams played through together.

The Challenge

Making company values feel lived-in.

Trailmix wanted their new values to feel collaborative, memorable, social, and human — not like slides, workshops, or internal documents. The harder part: doing it for a company that operates across multiple cities and teams.

  • Move beyond slides

Values land hardest when people experience them, not when they read them. The rollout needed to be felt, not presented.

  • Connect distributed teams

London and Berlin needed one shared moment — not two disconnected office activities running in parallel.

  • Stay on-brand

Anything generic on-screen would feel foreign to a creative studio. The experience had to live inside Trailmix's own visual world.

  • Launch fast

A one-day cultural moment can't justify months of bespoke app development. The build had to move at studio speed.

One Experience, Two Cities

One multiplayer experience across London and Berlin.

Rather than running two separate local activities, ReadySet allowed Trailmix to create one connected multiplayer experience across both cities. Same gameplay structure, same branded world, same live event — happening in two places at once.

Employees explored their surroundings, completed challenges, and interacted with the company's values through gameplay — all inside the same shared event. The result felt less like two office activities and more like one company moment.

The Gameplay Experience

How gameplay worked.

Participants moved between real-world checkpoints spread throughout their city. Each location unlocked custom challenges tied to Trailmix's new company values — turning the rollout into something interactive instead of instructional.

  • Checkpoints across the city

Real-world locations became the board. Each checkpoint unlocked the next part of the story and the next themed challenge.

  • Value-driven challenges

Creative missions, collaborative prompts, photo tasks, and quick-fire questions — each tied to one of the new company values.

  • Team collaboration

Teams split up, regrouped, and made decisions together. The gameplay rewarded the kind of teamwork the values were about.

  • Progression and rivalry

Points, badges, and a live leaderboard kept the energy up — a friendly two-city race rather than a passive walk.

The experience combined movement, teamwork, competition, discovery, and social interaction — without ever interrupting the natural flow of the event itself.

A Branded World

Built around the Trailmix universe.

Rather than feeling like a generic scavenger hunt, the experience was deeply connected to Trailmix's creative identity. ReadySet dressed every surface — artwork, characters, tone of voice, gameplay styling — directly into the multiplayer experience.

The result felt less like an external tool and more like an extension of the Trailmix world itself.

Operational Simplicity

Fast deployment without building a custom app.

For temporary activations and one-time internal experiences, building a standalone app often creates unnecessary complexity. ReadySet let Trailmix launch a fully branded multiplayer experience without commissioning or maintaining custom event technology from scratch.

  • Route & checkpoint design

Both city routes scoped, mapped, and tuned to the time each team had on the day.

  • Challenge design

Each value translated into the right kind of mission — photo, prompt, quick collaboration, or creative task.

  • Brand integration

Trailmix's artwork, characters, and tone applied across the in-app experience and the event world.

  • Technical configuration

Multiplayer logic, scoring, leaderboards, and join flow handled by the platform — not by Trailmix's engineers.

  • Deployment support

Pre-event testing in both cities and live walkthroughs with the people running each office.

  • Event-day operations

Support on hand throughout the run so the Trailmix team could focus on their people, not the tech.

Human Moments

Connection through gameplay.

The experience created opportunities for employees to collaborate with colleagues they rarely interacted with, explore together, compete casually, and share discoveries — discussing the company's values naturally as they went.

Instead of passively receiving information, participants experienced those values socially and interactively.

  • Squads comparing scores between checkpoints and plotting the next move together.
  • Splitting up to cover ground, then regrouping at a checkpoint with a story to tell.
  • A rollout that felt less like an internal announcement and more like a shared afternoon out.
  • Conversations about the values that kept going long after the event ended.

What this experience showed

Culture, made playable across two cities.

  • Culture becomes interactive

New company values introduced through gameplay instead of slides, lived once and remembered for months.

  • Distributed, still shared

Teams in London and Berlin joined the same branded experience, not two parallel local activities.

  • Branded, not generic

Trailmix's artwork, characters, and tone of voice ran through every screen — an extension of the studio's world.

  • Fast to launch

A fully branded multiplayer experience deployed in weeks, with no custom standalone app to build or maintain.
