Organizer Briefing Script Template

A short, copy-pasteable script organizers can read aloud (or adapt) right before kickoff. It walks participants through the event code, start time, GPS permissions, and what to expect from multiplayer team gameplay, so everyone is set up the same way before the first Checkpoint.

Getting StartedUpdated

How to use this template

Replace each {{PLACEHOLDER}} with your event's details before you run the briefing. The whole script is designed to take about 60 seconds to deliver out loud.

Prefer to fill in a form instead? Use the Organizer Briefing Generator to produce a ready-to-copy script automatically.

  • Confirm the event code with the organizer who published the Experience
  • Confirm the start time and timezone with your venue contact
  • Decide team size and how teams will be formed before kickoff
  • Have a designated support contact in case of join issues

ReadySet Organizer Briefing, Pre-Game Script

Hey everyone, welcome! Before we get started, a quick 60-second rundown so we're all ready to go.

1. Joining the Experience
Open the ReadySet App on your phone and enter the event code: {{EVENT_CODE}}.
No account or password needed, just the code.

2. Start time
We're kicking off at {{START_TIME}} ({{TIMEZONE}}). Please be joined and on the start screen by then. If we're using Ready Set Go mode, everyone starts together, late joiners can still play but may miss the opening Checkpoints.

3. GPS & permissions
When the app asks, please allow Location access "While Using the App" (or "Always" if prompted).

  • iPhone: Settings → ReadySet → Location → While Using the App, and make sure Precise Location is on.
  • Android: Settings → Apps → ReadySet → Permissions → Location → Allow.

Without GPS, Checkpoints won't activate when you arrive.

4. Teams & multiplayer
You'll be playing in teams of {{TEAM_SIZE}}. Each person plays on their own device, but your scores combine for the team. That means:

  • Stay together as a team, you'll move between Checkpoints as a group.
  • Talk to each other. Many activities are easier (and more fun) when you collaborate.
  • The live leaderboard updates as you go, friendly competition encouraged.

5. A few quick reminders

  • Charge your phone, gameplay runs roughly {{DURATION}}.
  • Stay aware of your surroundings, especially crossing streets.
  • If something doesn't work, find me ({{ORGANIZER_NAME}}) or message {{SUPPORT_CONTACT}}.
